Memories of Susie

This is the 15th anniversary of Susie's death and, as usual, it is a reflective day for me. I remember so well her smile and laugh. That alone is a great legacy, but she was so much more.

The twins had their 3rd birthday party Saturday and invited most of their fellow nursery students as well as their cousins. It was a princess party complete with tacky gausey toystore costumes. Susie would have thought it was great! If there was anything she loved it was little children dressed up in cheesy costumes. I could hear her laugh as they all lined up for a photo. It was wonderful.

Hope everyone has a great thanksgiving. I am particularly thankful this year for the temple and the opportunity our family had to bind our family for eternity and that this separation from Susan is only temporary.

Thanks for listening........

John Comes For A Visit!

I am so glad that John came to visit! It is always fun to stay up late watching his cd's and talking about world events!! I think he almost has me convinced to boycott paying income tax this year since it is illegal and is only enforced by jack-booted thugs out to get our hard-earned money!

We also went to the health food store and enjoyed playing with the grandchildren.

Now, I know that I have been very slow to get into this blog business, but am repenting and making a committment to blog at least once weekly. That's a lot for me.

My biggest news is that I am going to a pain specialist and am having great success. My pain level is much less and I am enjoying more physical activity.

Congratulations to Emily and Sarah!!!! Babies are wonderful. I do think they look a lot alike. Emily, remember that you and Reed are a week apart! Maybe this is a generational trend.

Genealogy news: Bill's great-grandfather, William David Carleton and Joseph Smith were 6th cousins.... no wonder that family line opened up so quickly, and most of the temple work is done.

I know that I've been very bad about blogging, but I think I have a good excuse... I couldn't get on because of a mixup with google.

Anyway, I've read and enjoyed all that you've been saying and am now online and cooking.

All is well here, We have a new member of our family, Bret Reed born last Friday to Nate and Tierra. Harry is now a grandad. I am anxious to hear of the pending births.

John just returned from a quick trip to see Felicia and her family. I heard today from her and everything went well for them all.

Take care, all of you.
